I am 43 years young, a native Texan, a crafter, and a lover of life! My husband and I have been married for 19 years, and we are blessed to have two awesome kids. My husband also works from home as a bladesmith, creating his own pieces of art at RedneckKnifeworks.com.
About Martin Publishing Services
In 2008, I left Corporate America, became a stay-at-home mom to our two children, and started a blog as a means of developing community. I eventually transitioned from blogger to full-time book designer and consultant and am so thankful for the life I live.
At first, I didn’t really know what the heck I was doing, (I sure thought I did, lol), but I learned over time. I went from assisting with blog headers to doing web site design. From web site design, I went to doing book covers. From book covers, I expanded into interior formatting. And somewhere along the way, I got really really good at what I was doing.
I have learned so much. I have learned how to properly network. I have learned how to say no. I have made so many friends. I have learned that there is always something new to learn.
At first, my income was only enough to pay for my children to attend a very small and inexpensive private school, but time and tide have shaped my business into the blessing it is today.
I started the Self Publishing Support Group to be an extension of that ministry that started all those years ago, a way to help those who are trying to help themselves. If you have a question, I will do my best to answer it. If you have a problem, I will do my best to help you solve it (me and Vanilla Ice, lol).
Self-publishing takes a village. Welcome to the village.
